Watched accident movie yesterday. Film is quite good, but not upto the mark i can say.

Film starts with some friendship song on beach. Then Ramesh lies us by showing some shopping mall as hong kong. Then happens the accident. The accident happening scene is shot well in night mode.

Then what else.. Film’s story unfolds like a detective story. We get introduced to new twists every couple of scenes. This is the main highlight of the movie. The suspense is maintained. But the main minus point of the movie is the loosely bound screenplay at times.

To list the minus points, most of the songs including item number could have been completely avoided. Songs really spoil the pace of the movie. Then there is one health minister character who completely imitates veteran actor Balakrishna’s dialogue delivery style. He irritates very much unlike Rangayana Raghu. And there are some scenes shot without due care.

I somewhat felt that there was no 100% performance by any actors including ramesh. In some scene’s ramesh has failed to impress. Dinesh Baboo has done well in his first acting venture.

I have to say about Rekha.. She is a waste in the movie. No proper acting. Not a scene she brings any charm to the frame.

Then there is pooja gandhi who has done her bit well. Then music is not impressive except the “ellinda bantu tangaali”. And one thing, this song is shot as “kolu kolu dandiya” song, but the music has nothing to support the dandiya style of music.

Camera work by GS Bhaskar is good. He has used some good techniques in the item song, specially i liked the way how the camera moves back, and the wide angle lens he has used. And the train accident scene shot in good lighting settings or was it digital grading? or some other settings?

Though there are lot of loopholes in the movie, ramesh has successfully woven a great story. Mainly the suspense he creates, unfolding of story, characterisation of some, then the impossibility of guessing the criminal.

Due to story, the film is good. But not upto the mark movie. There was lot of scope for improvisation. But for Kannada film level, this is a different movie. Ok .
